New Product Launch | Oriental Laser Unveils Ultra-Compact 2400W QCW Diode Laser Stack with Beam Shaping

Oriental-Laser proudly introduces its latest innovation: the MZ-C-2400-12-200E series, a compact, high-power QCW conduction-cooled diode laser stack tailored for end-pumped solid-state lasers and other pulsed laser applications.

This new product is available in two variants — a bare diode laser stack and an optical beam shaping module. Both versions feature 12 tightly packed laser bars, each delivering up to 200W peak power, for a total output of 2400W QCW. The laser operates at a typical 808 nm wavelength, with customizable options ranging from 792 nm to 814 nm, making it ideal for a wide range of industrialmedicalaerospace, and defense applications.

What makes this diode stack stand out is its extremely compact design and high brightness. With a bar pitch as small as 0.43 mm and a module size of just 25 mm × 19 mm × 33.2 mm, it ranks among the smallest footprint laser diode modules on the market today. The total weight is under 48 grams, making it suitable for space-constrained laser integration, portable QCW laser heads, and precision end-pumping configurations.

The beam-shaped version incorporates high-efficiency optics to compress the combined output into a uniform square spot of 3.5 mm × 3.3 mm. This beam shaping is critical for efficient coupling into compact laser cavities, improving system brightness and thermal control in diode-pumped solid-state (DPSS) laser architectures.

This high-power QCW laser diode module is optimized for:

  • Pulsed end-pumped Nd: YAG or Nd: YVO₄ lasers
  • Compact OEM laser systems in aerospace, medical, and defense sectors
  • Portable or handheld industrial laser tools
  • Laser rangefinders, LiDAR pumping, and flashlamp replacement
  • High-efficiency diode laser pumping in research or micromachining systems

The module supports pulse widths from 50 to 250 us, duty cycles up to 0.5%, and electro-optical efficiency exceeding 50%. Options include Fast Axis Collimation (FAC) and full customization of thermal and mechanical interfaces.

Designed with hard soldering for rugged reliability, the MZ-C-2400-12-200E series represents the next step in compact QCW diode laser technology. It’s fully customizable for wavelength, beam profile, and integration geometry, and serves as a cost-effective high-brightness diode pumping solution for critical laser systems worldwide.
